Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you insured?
  • Yes fully insured. I have public liability insurance from a specific pet business insurer.
  • Are you DBS checked?
  • Yes I am.
  • Are you trained in animal first aid?
  • Yes I am trained in animal first aid with canine CPR.
  • Will my dog be walked alone or in a pack?
  • I always walk your dog alone unless they are from the same home or regularly walk together.
  • Will my dog be walked off lead or left unattended?
  • No, I generally walk on the lead unless you specifically request that they are off lead. I NEVER leave your dog unattended.
  • Will anyone else be walking my dog/visiting my pet?
  • No, just me, I aim to be the one to provide the care and time for your pet.
  • Do you use images of my pet on social media?
  • I always check with you first if this is acceptable to you - some people are happy for images to be used but no identity given. Images of your pet will not be used unless you agree to it.
  • How do I know that you have visited or walked my pet?
  • I send pictures to you if this is something that you would like, then you can see that your loved one is having fun on a walk or cuddles and play at home - or both!
  • My pet has certain behavior issues. How do you deal with this?
  • Before I start walking / visiting your pet I will come to visit you at home so that we can discuss your pet and any needs /issues they may have. Once I know what your pets 'trigger ' points are I am able to deal with this appropriately - possibly by avoiding that situation entirely or being prepared should this arise.
  • How do I pay you?
  • Payment for my services can be made either by cash or by BACS transfer direct to my bank. Payment method and frequency can be discussed during the consultation discussion.
  • How do you control keys?
  • Keys are stored securely in a safe at home with no identity linking them to your address. When out on visits I store required keys for the day in a portable safe in my vehicle.
  • Do you sit pets at your own home?
  • Unfortunately I cannot do this for cats and dogs as I have my own pets. Small caged animals can be accommodated. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
